Morihata Purifying Binchotan Charcoal Sticks

These attractive, glass-like sticks are 100% ubame oak and are made the time-honored way in Wakayama Prefecture.

About Binchotan Charcoal
Revered in Japan since the Edo Period, binchotan charcoal is a premium activated charcoal that serves as a natural air and water purifier. Its innate detoxifying properties make it a potent addition to many beauty and wellness goods, where it helps to cleanse on a microscopic level. Materials: Binchotan charcoal made from ubame oak
Dimensions: Available in bags of two or four sticks. 
Use: After opening, rinse and gently brush two sticks of purifying binchotan charcoal. Then, place in boiling water for 10 minutes to activate. Once cool, add sticks to up to one gallon of tap water and let sit for several hours.
Care: Boil again every three weeks. Two sticks will last three months. Used binchotan charcoal can be broken up and added to your garden to help aerate the soil.
